Some of you might remember my post a year ago about the beauty of words written to be read aloud. With the emergence of Audioboo as a way to communicate, I thought it might be fun to revisit the piece I wrote for that exercise and actually read it aloud like it was meant to be. So, enjoy.

I love when blogs run giveaways. Most that I’ve found give away books or gift cards, but I just found one that is truly unique: Leah Petersen of Write Me! is giving away the beach. That’s right, the beach.

Petersen says on her blog:

The winner will receive one handful of sand and surf, complete with the smells of salt and sunshine. (I’ll package it very carefully, or something.)

Now, I love free books, but this giveaway is just so clever and fun, I  had to enter and to share. I mean, I live in the middle of the suburbs. I’d love a little piece of the beach to go along with my nature track of waves and the ocean.

So go, enter, and good luck.
